Board of Directors

POLICY REGARDING COMMUNICATION BETWEEN HOMEOWNERS AND BOD MEMBERS

From time-to-time, Board of Director (BOD) members will be contacted by homeowners to discuss matters of common interest. While discussions with homeowners are encouraged, it is important that no member of the BOD, cause the BOD, or the Homeowners Company (HOC), to incur any liability as a result of said contact/discussion.

Any BOD member who is contacted in private by another homeowner about HOC business should:

1)          Make it clear to the homeowner that he/she does not speak on behalf of the BOD or the HOC, and that any opinions offered by the BOD member are those of the BOD member as a homeowner only.

2)          The agenda for every BOD meeting shall include an opportunity for each BOD member to describe contacts involving HOC business he or she may have had with one or more homeowners since the previous BOD meeting.

3)          Place any topics of significance to the homeowner(s) on the agenda discussion at the next month's BOD meeting.
